Sharps - medical devices with sharp points or edges that can puncture or cut skin. Sharps waste is considered anything that could be potential infectious.

Used sharps should be immediately placed into an FDA approved disposable sharps container. These containers should be puncture resistant with leak resistant sides and bottoms.
